OUR VERY OWN HERO!
Ian Fagan, a five year old at Camp Auxilium, helped save his cousins’ burning home by telling his mother he saw it on fire. Thanks to his alertness and quick reporting, the house was not completely destroyed. Ian and his peers are very familiar with what to do when there’s a fire, from “STOP, DROP and ROLL” to “Call 9-1-1!”. Learning about fire safety is an important aspect of the teaching that goes on at the Learning Center. Visits from the fire department are part and parcel of the training. It‘s safe to say, it not only pays to have a good education but saves lives.

The Camp Auxilium Learning Center is bracing itself for a visit from the "Leprechaun" on March 17th. Funny antics and chaos... here we come! Will he find that Pot-O-Gold? Wouldn't that be nice. We keep forgetting to tell him that that's "slim pickins'" around here. Just the same, come join us as we track his whereabouts...or at least try.
WE'RE WARMING UP FOR THE SUMMER!
OK, so maybe we just finished with one big, beautiful snowfall, but that doesn't mean "visions of summer camp aren't dancing through our heads". On the contrary, we're gearing up full force with a BRAND NEW SWIMMING POOL! That's right, BRAND NEW!
Thanks to funding from the Salesian Sisters Eastern Province in Haledon, NJ, our swimming pool, which has seen the wear and tear of decades of children, is now on the way to a renewal like none other! Using the latest cutting edge technology, it will be a state-of-the-art facility and guarantee decades more of healthy, safe, refreshing fun for children.
This renewal is extra special because it occurs during our celebration of 50 years of Camp Auxilium and its distinguished reputation! It both recalls a past rich in FAITH, FUN and FAMILY and propels us ahead to another 50 years of unbeatable dedication and service to children in the Salesian tradition. We are the quintessence of what summer camp is meant to be. No wonder we've been around for so long, and will be for years to come!

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!
Realizing that you exist and to what degree comes with age. When considering the ages of our children, well, it's coming...slowly. To help our children grow not only in awareness of their existence but in the fact that it is a unique, God-given existence, we will be celebrating the "Absolutely Incredible Kid Day" on March 18th. Join us at the morning assembly as we help our children appreciate themselves because they are who they are, by God's designs.
