Dear Parents,
Welcome to Camp Auxilium Learning Center! You and your child are the reason we have made our learning center a “home away from home.” We know you will feel very comfortable and happy in our learning environment, where the teachers and caregivers put children first! They treat each child as their very own in a caring atmosphere in which learning takes place.
At Camp Auxilium we seek to create a loving Catholic/Christian environment conducive to your child’s learning, growth and development. Our teachers use the wonderful ways of the Salesian charism, particularly loving kindness, religion and reason, to help your child grow and become the wonderful person God created them to be. Since parents are the most important persons in their lives, we welcome your involvement in your child’s classroom. Nothing gives a child more joy than the presence of their parents. We hope you will be able to share in your child’s day at Camp Auxilium whenever time allows.
There is a strong academic component in our Pre-School and Kindergarten programs. The three year old children focus on motor skills and reading/math readiness. Our four year olds master the alphabet and beginning reading skills, basic rudiments of writing, numbers and beginning number operations. Our Kindergartners learn to read write independently and use mathematical operations. Hands on science, social studies, and daily religious instruction are given. Learning takes place in a spacious classroom, filled with manipulatives, centers, music, crafts, books, and most of all dedicated teachers who have been with us for generations of children.
Camp Auxilium Learning Center has served the young children of Sussex County for the past 34 years (since 1978) and has provided a positive early learning environment for over 5,000 “little ones.” Many children of our past students attend our Center. Those who have journeyed through Camp Auxilium Learning Center have always remained part of our “Camp Auxilium Family,” and it’s a pleasure to see them register their children for a similar happy and memorable experience.
